What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites store on your device. They help websites remember things about your visit, like your preferences and login status. Most websites use cookies because they make the browsing experience smoother and more personalized.
How we use cookies
At ValiqAI, we use cookies to make your experience better. Here is what they help us do:
- •Keep you logged in so you do not have to sign in every time you visit.
- •Remember your preferences like your theme settings, dashboard layout, and organization selection.
- •Understand how you use ValiqAI so we can improve features and fix problems. For example, we track which pages are most visited and where users might get stuck.
- •Keep your session secure by verifying that it is really you accessing your account.
Types of cookies we use
Essential cookies
These are necessary for ValiqAI to work. They handle things like authentication, security, and basic functionality. You cannot turn these off because the app would not function without them.
Preference cookies
These remember your choices, like your preferred theme (light or dark mode), which organization you were last working in, and display settings. They make ValiqAI feel more personalized.
Analytics cookies
If enabled, these help us understand how people use ValiqAI (for example, which features are used or where users might get stuck) so we can improve the product. Any analytics we use is limited, and you can decline non-essential cookies using the cookie banner.
Cookies we set
The exact cookies present depend on how you use ValiqAI and whether you accept non-essential cookies. The table below describes the main categories you may encounter.
| Cookie | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Session / auth token | Keeps you securely signed in | Essential | Session – 30 days |
| CSRF token | Protects against cross-site request forgery | Essential | Session |
| Theme & display settings | Remembers light/dark mode and layout | Preference | Up to 1 year |
| Workspace selection | Remembers your last active organization | Preference | Up to 1 year |
| Cookie consent | Stores your cookie choice so we don’t ask again | Essential | Up to 1 year |
| Analytics (if accepted) | Measures feature usage to improve the product | Analytics | Up to 1 year |
Cookie names and durations may change as the product evolves. This table is a representative summary rather than an exhaustive, per-name list.
First-party and third-party cookies
First-party cookies are set by ValiqAI directly and cover essential functions like keeping you signed in and remembering your settings.
Third-party cookies may be set by services we rely on, for example our payment processor during checkout or our analytics provider if you accept analytics. These providers are listed on our Subprocessors page. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising, and we do not sell your data.
How long cookies last
Session cookies are temporary and are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your device for a set period (or until you delete them) so we can remember you and your preferences on your next visit. The approximate lifespan of each cookie is shown in the table above.
Your choices
You have control over cookies. When you first visit ValiqAI, you can choose to accept or decline non-essential cookies. If you decline, we will only use the cookies that are strictly necessary for the app to work.
You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie Preferences link in the footer, which reopens the consent banner. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies:
- •Managing cookies in Google Chrome
- •Managing cookies in Safari
- •Managing cookies in Firefox
- •Managing cookies in Microsoft Edge
If you want to reset your choice, you can clear your browser data and the cookie banner will appear again on your next visit.
Do Not Track & Global Privacy Control
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal or support the Global Privacy Control (GPC). There is no single industry standard for how to respond to DNT, so it does not change our behavior. Because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is no such activity for a GPC signal to opt you out of. You can still decline non-essential cookies at any time using the controls above.
If you disable cookies
Essential cookies are required for ValiqAI to function. If you block or delete them, parts of the app may not work. For example, you may be signed out, unable to stay logged in, or unable to keep your settings. Blocking non-essential cookies will not break the app; it only turns off preference memory and (if applicable) analytics.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our product and the cookies we use change. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and where appropriate we will ask for your consent again.
How this helps you
When you accept cookies, you get a smoother experience. Your settings are saved, you stay logged in, and we can make ValiqAI better based on real usage patterns. We never sell your data or use cookies for advertising. Everything we collect is used to improve the product you use.
