On-call

Better Stack

Open a Better Stack incident when a scan finds a blocker

Teams plan

When a scan of a site finds a blocker, ValiqAI opens a Better Stack incident with the worst problem as its summary and the run in its details. Better Stack then emails and sends a push notification to whoever is on call, by your escalation policy.

While that incident is open, more failing scans of the site don't open new ones. The first clean scan resolves it.

Connecting Better Stack in ValiqAI, then what Better Stack shows after a scan, and back to the results.

How it works

  1. A scan finds a blocker. Or a high problem too, if you turn that on. Blockers are marked critical.
  2. Better Stack escalates. One incident per site, with the requester you set and a link to the evidence.
  3. It resolves itself. When a later scan of the site is clean, ValiqAI resolves the incident.

Set up

In ValiqAI, open Integrations › Better Stack in your workspace.

  1. In Better Stack, open Settings › API tokens and create a team token for Uptime.
  2. Paste it here with the email of someone on your Better Stack team, and send a test.
  3. Choose whether high problems open incidents too, and whether clean scans resolve them.

Plan

Better Stack is on the Teams plan (Teams and Enterprise). A connection made before a plan change keeps working.

With AI tools

With the ValiqAI MCP server added to your AI coding tool, you can ask:

  • “Scan staging with ValiqAI; if it finds a blocker, Better Stack escalates to on-call.”
  • “Re-run the last ValiqAI scan of staging so the Better Stack incident resolves if it is fixed.”
