Open a GitLab issue from any problem ValiqAI finds, in the project you pick, with the severity, the page, the steps to reproduce, how to fix it and a link back to the evidence. Issues are labeled valiqai and severity::blocker, high or medium.
Works with gitlab.com (approve ValiqAI once) and with self-managed GitLab (paste an access token and your server address). Turn on automatic issues and ValiqAI files them itself for the severities you choose, one per problem, at most 10 per scan.
How it works
- A scan finds a problem. Each distinct problem, not every page it showed up on.
- An issue opens in your project. Labeled by severity. The same problem never gets a second issue.
- The issue links back. Screenshots, the failing request and the recording stay one click away in ValiqAI.
Set up
In ValiqAI, open Integrations › GitLab in your workspace.
- On gitlab.com, click Connect GitLab and approve ValiqAI. On self-managed GitLab, use a token: an access token with the api scope, plus your server address.
- Pick the project issues go to.
- Choose which severities open issues on their own.
Plan
GitLab is on the Teams plan (Teams and Enterprise). A connection made before a plan change keeps working.
With AI tools
With the ValiqAI MCP server added to your AI coding tool, you can ask:
- “Scan the merge request preview with ValiqAI and file any blockers as GitLab issues.”
- “Which GitLab issues did the last ValiqAI scan of staging open?”
