Every scan that ends becomes a Datadog event: the verdict, the open problems by severity, the worst three and a link to the results, tagged source:valiqai and site:<the site>. Blockers show as errors, high problems as warnings, clean scans as successes.
Finished scans also send four gauges per site: valiqai.scan.score and valiqai.scan.problems by severity (blocker, high, medium). Graph them on a dashboard, or set a monitor that fires when blockers go above zero.
Datadog bills custom metrics, so each scanned site adds four to your count. Turn metrics off and keep events if you only want the timeline.
How it works
- A scan ends. Scheduled, from CI, the CLI or the app. A scan that could not finish still sends an event, marked info, and no metrics.
- Datadog gets an event and metrics. Find them in the Event Explorer with source:valiqai, and in the Metrics Explorer under valiqai.scan.
- Your monitors do the rest. For example: alert when max:valiqai.scan.problems{severity:blocker} by site is above 0.
Set up
In ValiqAI, open Integrations › Datadog in your workspace.
- In Datadog, open Organization settings › API keys and create a key named ValiqAI.
- Paste it here, pick your Datadog site and send a test event.
- Choose whether to send events, metrics or both.
Plan
Datadog is on the Pro plan (Pro, Teams and Enterprise). A connection made before a plan change keeps working.
With AI tools
With the ValiqAI MCP server added to your AI coding tool, you can ask:
- “Scan staging with ValiqAI; the result shows up in Datadog on its own.”
- “What did the last ValiqAI scan of staging find? Blockers first.”
